About

And it was then, about that time, that I began to find life unsatisfactory as an explanation of itself and was forced to adopt the method of the artist of not explaining but putting the blocks together in some other way that seems more significant to him.  Which is a rather fancy way of saying I started writing.

~Tennessee Williams in “The Resemblance Between a Violin Case and a Coffin”

The original green notebooks (always called my favorite color green, even if the cover may have actually been red or blue) were filled not only with my poetry and prose, but my school notes, sketches, to-do lists, plans for paintings and all other manner of two-dimensional impressions.  The green notebook system allowed me to maintain one place for all of my creative & archival endeavors, and eventually gave rise to the moniker I use in many online communities.

This blog seems like a natural extension of the close to twenty notebooks I have accumulated since I started high school and began the first green notebook.  Why would you want to read it?  Well, I don’t know.  Maybe you know me.  Maybe my writing style catches your eye.  Maybe you would like to laugh at me.  Maybe something about me interests you (I am a relatively recent college graduate.  I aspire to be a writer and a keeper of books.  I am active in ministry in the Catholic Church.  I have a love affair with the English language, and speak a smattering of Spanish and Irish.  I’m a girl.).

Maybe you are very, very bored.

Regardless of why you are here, you are welcome to stay.  Perhaps I may entertain you, or God willing, inspire you to think or create.  Feel free to let me know you are here.  I beg you to send me anything you think I may find enjoyable or enlightening.  I wish you good reading, and above all, peace.

Very good blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or
go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that
I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
